Port infrastructure modernisation
Numerous projects have begun with the aim of adjusting existing port infrastructure to match Rouen’s navigation channel specifications. The objective: to enhance competitiveness and boost Rouen port’s traffic and activity.
Some of these projects:
- Sénalia grain terminal on Grand-Couronne quay.
- The berth at Soufflet Socomac grain terminal.
- Grand Aulnay wharf.
- Hautot-sur-Seine turning basin: a far-reaching programme with a cost in the dozens of millions of euros.
Development of Radicatel terminal
This is a strategically important site for economic development across the region. To promote the terminal’s attractiveness, HAROPA PORT | Rouen has begun major modernisation work. Specifically, the project involves adapting the nautical infrastructure to match the deeper navigation channel for increased capacity for vessel reception, freight handling and storage of loaded and unloaded goods, thereby expanding the shortsea market segment.
